＜p＞Travis shares his desires for being a real person. Voices and hallucinations plague Travis and tell him he is not real because he is autistic. Travis relies on his one neurotypical best friend to keep him real and fight the voices. Voices are real to Travis and he shares how difficult it is to take on the voices and fight them on his own. He also shares how he works hard at becoming a real person. The voices tell Travis he must learn neurotypical body language in order to be a real person. Travis has spent years trying to study body language and recently he gained staff on his treatment team that specialize in body language and non-verbal communication. For the first time in a long time Travis has the hope of becoming a real person without relying heavily on his one neurotypical best friend to make him a real person by standing up to and fighting the voices. Travis shares that his confidence and self-esteem are already improving based on working with body language experts who are helping him improve the quality of his social interactions with peers. Travis knows that he is in for a long journey and battle as he must fight to learn neurotypical body language that will allow others to view him as a real person that they would want to get to know.
